BBQ Chicken - Jusco Setiawangsa

This is Pak Bing Soo. Simply called ais kacang in Malay. It's a perfect dessert after a hot Korean meal. You have to mix all the ingredients including the ice-cream topping to really enjoy the taste. The ice was ground very well as the texture was very very fine, like fresh snow that has just fallen from the sky. Not like the typical ais kacang. We found unknown jello-like texture in it (forgot the taste) but nevertheless, we enjoyed it very much!

This is the typical brownies with vanilla ice-cream. But it's not brownies per se. It was a hard chocolate cake. We didn't finish it.

Anyway, thank you Aniza for the sweet dessert. You are sweet too! Hihi..

I smell something fishy

I had a dinner alone last night at Mid Valley. Again? Yes.. my Honey Bun said that I have to learn to be independent (and alone) in which I always am.

And since I got a 10 ringgit meal voucher at Manhattan Fish Market I decided to have the solo-dinner there.

So I went there. Alone. And ask for a table for one.

For a franchise restaurant like this I was expecting a professional hospitality like generous reception, friendly waiters and yes, they ARE friendly, but in an awkward manner. And I felt awkward for having to dine alone!

Hey I have taken lunch at Laksa Shack alone before. I had a dinner at Nando's all by myself last two weeks. And also at McDonalds sometimes ago. But nobody seemed care. And I didn't too.

But last night, all the waiters stared at me as if it is something terribly wrong for having to eat alone. What were on their mind? What were they thinking? Two of them even talked to each other while smirking to me. Hey, this is too much. Oh, ngumpat saya yer! If it's not because of the salmon grill, I would have walked away.

The waiter asked me for a drink, but I said it's okay because I have my own drink (yes, I managed to fill up my bottle with ice lemon tea from the gym).

"Are you sure you don't want any drink?"

"Yes, I'm sure,"

"What about a plain water?" One of them was getting ready to fill up a glass with ice. And I said,

"No, I don't drink cold water,"

"What about warm water?"

"No, thanks,"

"I'm afraid you'll be choking..."

I didn't hear the rest of the words. Didn't you get it? I don't WANT any drink! Again, all the waiters were looking at me because I ordered a Salmon Grill without A DRINK! That lonely girl was eating a Salmon Grill WITHOUT a drink - a pathetic episode...

Well, what is it like to have a meal alone at a restaurant? I used to feel awkward and pathetic because I had never dine out alone. I would feel everyone was watching me and say, "Pity you, because you have to eat alone. You don't have friends and families with you. Look at me, I have my dear boyfriend eating with me. I'm better than you, so everyone likes me." Funny but that was the feeling anyway. But not now. I'm cool with eating out alone.

There was once when I had a lunch at Laksa Shack all by myself. While I was indulging my Laksa Sarawak, I noticed that a guy was passing by my table and asked for a tissue paper from the counter. Later I was suprised to see a tissue paper was placed right beside my laksa. I didn't turn around to see that guy (but I wished I had a rear-view mirror so that I could see him..hehe)

At first I thought I was given a tissue because I had a spot of chilli or gravy on my mouth or any kesan-kesan comot on my face. So I just ignored the tissue because I already had one. But later my Honey Bun said that was an old-school style to give out phone number to strangers. Hahah.. itu macam kaa.. I wonder what was written on the tissue..

Lamb Madness

My powerful desire for lamb continues eventhough the month of Ramadhan has long gone. I never say 'no' to my collegues who always ask me for a superlicious lamb course for lunch or dinner. But this time I had to let go because I'm broke!! I totally am!

Well, I had to tell the truth that I am broke because that's the only reason my collegue would believe if I refused. (daym, my freaking salary was paid too early) The place recommended was at Al-Rawsha, Jalan Damai, Ampang. It's a cosy Lebanese restaurant.

No.. I can't afford to have it at this moment. It was a great temptation though as my collegues kept asking me to join the group, and the images of lamb slices kept popping out of my head, sometimes it turned to lamb shank, lamb kebab.. My empty stomach made a growling sound.. and yet, I still refused the offer. I'm broke, okay!

So they went down the office and ready to go. But Kak D made the effort to call me for the last time.. "Ala.. tak apa, takde duit takpe, meh la join skali, jom la, jom la!" See, I'm not the one who's craving for lamb okay, I just didn't have the heart to turn down the invitation.... heheheh

We had Lamb Mandy (it just reminded me of Mandy Moore, funny) for everyone of us, except Kak D. (it's the lamb cooked together with the rice). We also had Arabian Salad (the usual salad with olive oil) and Mayonaisse Salad (just like normal coleslow). And all of us decided to have the Al-Rawsha cocktail (mix of fruits like mango, banana, avocado etc) which was a bad decision! The cocktail was verrrryyyy thick and sweet, just like smoothies and you never know how it feels to finish it all up after having a heavy lamb meal. I should have had an iced lemon tea instead.

Bulgy-looking skinny lady

If these statement are true, they are the most heart-breaking facts I've ever heard!!!

"When you start losing fat, your genes also determine where fat comes off first. Your body may naturally store more fat in the stomach area. So if your body decides that your stomach it is the last place to lose fat, it will be significantly harder to burn of."

"Everyone is different and some people can be skinny and still have a bulge in the lower stomach area. This can be due to different body shapes determined by our genetics. In this rare case liposuction can be the best way of getting rid of that fat."

http://www.flatstomachtips.com/

Ahahahah... Liposuction? Hell no! I'm insulted by the later but all I can do is just laugh out loud because I think it's funny. Funny. The skinny person with a bulging lower stomach. And that person is me!! Ahahaha...

But I think I'm not that skinny. I'm just small. I'm genetically defined as a small-framed being, which makes me looks skinny, underweight, but I'm not! Oh don't freak out babe... Cool..

No matter what the genetics say about me, I still hafta sign up for a fitness session at a nearby gym.

See if it's still bulging or not!

Mars vs Venus

"Women commonly complain that their male partner starts out more loving and then gradually becomes passive. Men also feel unfairly treated. In the beginning women are so appreciative and loving, then they become resentful and demanding."

Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus - John Gray

Don't you think this statement is so true? Well at least I can confirm that half of the statement is TRUE! The beginning of every relationship is one of the sweetest moments one could cherish. It's like living in a heaven on earth.. ;P

Then, reality struck. The heaven has turned upside down.

I've never expected that it's a daunting job to understand the opposite sex. And yeah, I read this book in struggling my way and it's amazing that I feel this book has spoken my mind and feeling. It does not only give you the insight of your partner, but it helps you to get to know yourself better.

And mind you, gentlemen out there, you guys have a 'pull-away syndrom' that some of you do not realize. This syndrom together with the well-known PMS will make a great combination of a destructive relationship!

(sigh) It comes across my mind once in a while, "No wonder there are so many gay couples nowadays. They can easily understand each other!" Despite this, I still love man. And it's such a blessing to be loved by a man~ lalalala~ love is in the air~ i've never been happier sayang~

Detox: Cleansing Tea

Hey, I'm now crazy scouring for the best detox tea in town. Still searching for another solution to flatten this tummy yummy especially after eating tonnes of foods during eid celebration (apart from launching my healthy diet and exercise plans soon).

So, what do we have in shelves dear?

Trudtox Tea - I've read some happy and upset reviews and testimonials of this tea. Let's see..

Today took my first packet of trudtox...not bad. The effect is quite good. No diarrhea like cramps like with other teas and no uncontrollable urge to use the loo. Kinda feel a bit lighter and fresher but since this is the first pack that might be a placebo effect....
The same person..

So, this is day 3 of my detox programme....jeng jeng jenggg!! The diarrhea has arrived!! Haha...sorry for the details. But I have to tell u they mean it when they said no bloatedness. I lost 3kgs of water weight so far even before the diarrhea and i no longer feel bloated.

The same person gone happily crazy.. or crazily happy i should say..
Kyaaa!!! Day 4...my tummy is waay flatter! EVen after I eat. No more diarrhea... this is great! I feel lighter too!!
Pity to this person though..
no effective for me also ,and i notice this product don have the approvel from Ministry of health Malaysia so be ware everybody.........
Hahaha..no efective maa.. anyway, just to avoid confusion, I read in The Star, Trudtox claims to be classified by the MOH as a food product and doesn't need any registration as any other pharmaceutical products or medications. Go check it out babe!

And yes, there are more positive reviews of this product. Everybody seems to be happy with the result. Lihat perut ku.. jadi ramping kan..

For those came up with upset testimonials, they would rather go for Natural Clenx Tea. A product by NH Detoxlim. Macam bagus jer.. Well, don't simply rely on reviews by others. We should make research and have some level of understanding of what we are about to eat and what not.

I went on checking the product myself (wah.. macam spy plak..) Natural Clenx Tea contains Senna, a remarkable laxative in a world of slimming and cleansing teas. It's a wonderful ingredient to flush out toxins, waste materials and hardened stool in your bowel. While it works like magic, prolong used of Senna can harden the intestinal linings and the colon will lose its natural ability to contract. This will create bowel dependency and bad constipation occurs if we stop taking Senna. (Tahi tersumbat meronta-ronta nak kuar!)

These stimulant laxatives cause food to pass through the intestine before as many calories can be absorbed, which makes it a fofular ingredient for slimming. But it also comes with a higher risk of water loss, which might be mistaken with weight loss!

See girls, this is a great combination that will lead to rapid weight loss! Suka la tu.. But, mind you, prolong intake of slimming tea would also result in malnutrition, as the nutrients and minerals in the food we eat will be less aborbed and worse off, the friendly gut-flora bacteria in the colon will all be flushed out. Is it a good cash if we're malnourished? Euww, slim and sexy with bulging tummy gitteww...

And yeah, also watch out for other harsh laxatives such as Dulcolax and Senokot. Unless if prescribed by doctors, you don't want to take these to excrete your tahi. Those can help evacuate your bowel very fast but they shouldn't be consumed in long term.

Let me take Kinohimitsu Tea from the range. I can tell you it's a caffeine-free and senna-free product, and so does Trudtox. But wait, Trudtox does not reveal it's ingredients but claims to be made of organic herbs, safe and natural. Well, Senna is a herb by itself!!

Cost-wise, before I vouch for any brand, Natural Clenx Tea cost me RM28.80 for 20 teabags. While Trudtox is RM29.50 for a pack of 5 and Kinohimitsu Tea cost around RM19.90 for 14 teabags.

The more expensive the tea does not mean it is of superior quality than others.

Yang mana satu ni?????
